About us
We, the siblings Carlos, Carmen and Eduardo Simbaña, have been carrying out community work, with national and foreign volunteers, since 2013 with a lot of dedication and commitment.

Our motivation
The Galapagos Islands enjoy a great diversity of species of flora and fauna, making them so far unique in the world. But with the passing of time and the accelerated increase in population and migration, the Galapagos Islands have experienced a high rate of population growth. As local goods are increasingly insufficient for local supply and even worse for the big tourist companies. This has allowed local traders and tourist agencies to introduce a variety of agricultural products from the mainland to the different populated islands. With all this influx of products today, we enjoy a multiplicity of introduced genera of both plants and insects, among the most harmful insects we have: Fruit Fly, Carmelito Fly, Red Wasp, Black Wasp, etc.), and in invasive (aggressive) plants we have: Blackberry, Guava and Superrose. These species are very strong and resistant to different climatic changes and have responded very quickly to the natural environment. This is how these pests have been cornering and eliminating little by little the native and endemic species of our island territory.
As a volunteer you can actively support us. We look forward to hearing from you.
Mission
To welcome national and foreign volunteers to develop eradication, reforestation and community action programmes on the island of San Cristobal, promoting a fun and safe environment where clients enjoy and value the conservation efforts of the archipelago; eliminating invasive (aggressive) species and at the same time reforesting with endemic or native plants, and supporting the community in academic, cultural, social, language, etc., to achieve the good living of the population of San Cristobal.
Vision
This programme aims to be recognised as a leader in the sustainable management of natural resources, committed to improving the quality of life of the Cristobaleña community.
